Apostolic School of Ministry (ASOM)

22 – 26 September 2025, Sandton, Gauteng South Africa

The Apostolic School of Ministry (ASOM) was established in April 2001 by Thamo Naidoo in response to a divine mandate to prepare church leaders for a new era, commonly referred to as the Apostolic Movement (AM) in South Africa. Since 1994, the AM has advocated for a return to the authenticity of scripture, where applicable and in accordance with the scriptures, the necessity for a reform of the ecclesial structure, and the ministry of the Church in society.

In 2000, Thamo received a prophetic vision regarding the ASOM, underscoring the significance of preparing church leaders for a return to apostolic practices. This vision manifested into reality, leading to the establishment of the inaugural Apostolic School of Ministry in Pietermaritzburg in April 2001. Despite facing challenges, the inaugural event drew over 100 delegates, including international representatives.

Since its inception, the ASOM has grown into a prominent gathering centred on strengthening the four fundamental pillars of an apostolic community: ApostlesDoctrine, Fellowship, Breaking of Bread, and Prayers. These gatherings have expanded globally, fostering a network of relationships and clarifying the process of constructing the church in accordance with apostolic principles.

Originally held biannually in South Africa, the ASOM took a hiatus in 2017 but will resume hosting events in 2025 in Sandton, South Africa. Annual Apostolic Schools will also be held in Kenya and the Dominican Republic.

The ASOM continues to serve as a pivotal apostolic resource platform, equipping church leaders with profound teachings that align with Gods original intent and blueprint for His Kingdom.
