Dismantling the Spirit of Poverty

by Thamo Naidoo | KZN Apostolic Economic Conference 2026

In this address, Thamo calls the church to dismantle the spirit of poverty by confronting its root cause—not merely financial deficiency, but a flawed mindset that is misaligned with the mind of Christ. He contends that genuine spiritual warfare is primarily ideological, requiring believers to embrace God’s thoughts, principles, and patterns rather than relying solely on emotional or religious expressions. Central to this teaching is humanity’s original mandate to represent God in the earth, functioning as visible expressions of His invisible nature in every sphere of life. Drawing upon the example of Abraham, Thamo demonstrates that true Kingdom authority is entrusted to those who surrender personal ambition, relinquish ownership, and value God’s purposes above material inheritance. As believers submit to the divine blueprint and the apostolic “rules of engagement,” they become faithful administrators of grace, exercising righteous influence and stewarding resources to extend God’s government and blessing into a spiritually barren world. #poverty #representation #rulesofengagement
