Q&A with Thamo Naidoo

by Thamo Naidoo | KZN Apostolic Economic Conference 2026

In this session, Thamo explores the foundations of biblical economics by revealing the relationship between grace, obedience, and financial stewardship within the life of a mature believer. He challenges a transactional understanding of giving, demonstrating that tithing, first fruits, and generosity are not expressions of legalistic obligation but spontaneous responses flowing from spiritual maturity, sonship, and a deep trust in God’s provision. Central to this teaching is the principle that leadership must first embody the values it teaches, as authentic stewardship begins with those entrusted with spiritual oversight modelling generosity and covenant faithfulness. Thamo further examines the power of oneness within marriage, highlighting the spiritual unity of husband and wife and the role of covenant alignment in financial and relational stewardship. He also redefines biblical rest, explaining that it is not inactivity but an unwavering dependence on God’s Word while faithfully engaging in the assignments entrusted by Him. Ultimately, this teaching calls believers to transition from a “give to get” mentality into a lifestyle of complete surrender, where finances become an expression of honour, integrity, and the responsibility of mature sons administering God’s resources for His Kingdom purposes.
