Hebron - Session 1
Hebron – Session: 1 – Year: 2013
In this introductory session we are introduced to the historical place called Hebron and are instructed on its hidden spiritual meaning and how through the Word of God we can build our lives along the principles that are revealed to us.
The meaning of Hebron
The name “Hebron” literally means confederation, where relationships come together or a conjunction where things are aligned and merged together and new alliances are formed. Everything about life is built on relationships and everything about relationships is spiritually linked to Hebron.

We are taught that, historically, Hebron was formerly called Kiriath-arba, named after Arba the greatest man among the Anakim tribe (Joshua 14:15). The original meaning of the name Arba is “four-square” and the spiritual meanings behind his name are revealed to us:
- perfect stature
- personal strength and mastery over emotions
- rulership over the spirit and maintenance of perfect balance in life.
- high order self-management
The Word of God restores us to God’s original intent
We are also instructed that the Word of God confronts and deconstructs any erroneous, illegal, inaccurate, or incomplete picture of what God originally intended for His church and for our own personal lives. If we are to build our lives along the principles of Hebron then we have to fully embrace the Word of God. We are encouraged to always remember that the Lord reveals Himself in and through His Word. It is for this reason that we are instructed to ensure that God’s Word always has its preeminent position in our lives and in the Church of Jesus Christ.
