Kingdom of God - Session 2

by Thamo Naidoo | Kingdom of God

This session addresses God’s rule and government, particularly how the Kingdom of God should function in the lives of believers. God’s design of the whole of creation was that His sovereign rule be established through his people, His corporate Son (the Church).

Christ the Template

Christ, the Son of God is the template for rule. For the Church to establish the Kingdom of God, a careful study of the life and ministry of Christ should be conducted. He is the rock upon which the Church is built. Through the Church the Kingdom (rule and reign) of God is advanced on earth.

Christ, the Son of God is the template for rule. For the Church to establish the Kingdom of God then it must carefully study the life and ministry of Christ.

Divine Mandate

When the believer gets to grips with the issue of identity, then the eternal purpose will be fully understood. In Christ the believer enjoys the position of divine sonship. With this position comes the endowments of authority and power to represent Him…“let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Covenant with God

God in Christ established a new Covenant with all who would follow Jesus Christ. The covenant includes a position of divine sonship and heirs of creation. The Kingdom is given to His corporate son. Collaboration by the son with the conditions of the covenant will ensure heavens support.
